For the eighth year in a row, the International Scientific Committee of the International Medis Awards for Medical Research honours outstanding research achievements in medicine and pharmacy in the Central Region and South-Eastern Europe.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the uncertainty that has swept the world in the face of COVID-19, the contest of science remains sworn in and unwaveringly determined that scientific research is worth highlighting and excellence of professionals is worth rewarding because individuals and communities need it more than ever.
In 2021, we are inviting submissions from doctors and pharmacists specializing in gastroenterology, gynaecology, intensive therapy and anaesthesiology, neurology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, pharmacy, pulmonology and allergology, or rheumatology.
The submitted works will be evaluated according to predefined criteria by a professional jury composed of internationally recognized experts from various disciplines, headed by the chairman of the committee Prof. Dr. Borut Štrukelj, MSc Pharm, PhD, from the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. The committee will select two finalists and one winner from each research area.
The winners will be announced on Thursday, 25 November 2021.
