New features include also the field of dermatology
The eleventh call for entries for the International Medis Awards for Medical Research is already open. Among the new features are the expansion of the contest to Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as the new scientific field of dermatology. The International Scientific Committee will award outstanding scientific research achievements in medicine and pharmacy from 11 countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe. Researchers from nine fields who have published their scientific articles in reputable international journals can apply. Applications are open until 31 October 2024 at www.medis-awards.com.
“By expanding the territory of the contest, we offer doctors and pharmacists from Czech Republic and Slovakia the opportunity to join the regional scientific community that we have been building for more than a decade with the International Medis Awards. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for all researchers from the countries involved so far to get an even better insight into research in Central Europe and to present their achievements to an even wider international audience,"
Tone Strnad, Founder of the International Medis Awards and the Medis company, commented the expansion of the contest.

The Aim Is to Increase Awareness of Excellent Research Achievements in the Region
The Awards are a commendation of outstanding doctors and pharmacists who, in addition to their regular work with patients, also conduct research. The aim of the Awards is to highlight these doctors and pharmacists among the public in order to spread knowledge of their work and encourage them and others to continue their research work. With their work, they contribute to important innovations in medicine and pharmacy and thus to more effective disease management.
