Already for the seventh consecutive year we are opening the gates of the contest for outstanding achievements in medicine and pharmacy – the International Medis Awards.
Science never rests, therefore we, just like numerous doctors, did not give up and we have remained pledged to science and new discoveries. We realize how important it is to continue recognizing and awarding the excellence of our experts. Even in uncertain times.
From Monday, 15 June 2020, and all the way to Monday, 28 September 2020, researchers who have published their outstanding scientific works in the nine open therapeutic fields can apply to the International Medis Awards. The contributions must be published in international scientific publications with an impact factor (IF) of 1.5 or higher between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020.
Doctors and pharmacists from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia can submit their expert contributions for the following fields: gastroenterology, gynaecology, intensive therapy and anaesthesiology, neurology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, pharmacy, pulmonology and allergology, or rheumatology.
The expert panel with nine members under the leadership of a Slovenian rheumatologist Prof. Matija Tomšič, MD, PhD, will from 18 finalists choose nine winners of an individual medical field. The winners will be announced on Thursday, 26 November 2020.
